Amazon has introduced new Application programming Interface(API's) for developers to support more smart home functionalities into Echo and Alexa enabled devices.

For an instance, a new door bell event source that accesses RTC session controller and motion sensor API's making the users enable to connect to their doorbell and camera motion sensor to Alexa.

These sensors will allow the users to know who is at the door through the announcement by Alexa nd the unique part is that, it detects motion in the house via smart home cameras.

It is a two-way communication link between smart display devices like the Echo show or Echo Spot which is currently being used in the US which was implemented by Ring. 

For this two-way communication Application Programming Interface, Amazon heeds that “it currently supports webRTC (Real Time Communication) adaptable cameras to connect to Alexa as Alexa voice commands are available for full duplex cameras. Half duplex cameras is yet to come with the talk capabilities on the Echo Show or Echo Spot.

Moreover, there is great news for all the admirers of Echo Plus and Echo Dot which came into the limelight last month. Amazon has set a stand for these devices with reasonable price slumping from a whopping price in regard with the Amazon great Indian festival offer.
The Echo Dot (3rd generation) which was priced at ₹ 4,499 is now available for 2,299 while the Echo Plus which was priced at ₹ 14,999 is now available for 11,999.
